Parfetts sign new sponsorship deal with County

Landmark member Parfetts Cash & Carry has signed a new deal to continue its sponsorship of local football club Stockport County. The deal will extend Parfetts’ relationship as main club sponsor into a fourth season.

Parfetts decision to continue its support for the club, comes at a crucial time as Stockport County secures its future with the Supporter’s Trust taking over ownership and a battle to bounce back after last season’s relegation from League One.

Steve Parfett said: “I have always been keen for our company to play a key role in supporting County as I believe businesses should be actively involved in all aspects of the local community. For football clubs outside the Premiership, success can only be achieved by being an integral part of the community, and the ultimate expression of this is ownership by supporters. This is an exciting time for the club and has Parfetts’ full support.”

Parfetts will continue to use the sponsorship to promote Scandia, Landmark’s leading own-label lager, which will feature on the front of the team shirts throughout the 2005/2006 season. There will also be major activity focussing on Parfetts’ Team Scandia retailer club, which is dedicated to promoting the brand and football throughout the Stockport community. Parfetts will also continue to reward loyal County fans with the popular Fan of the Match awards at every home game, with a case of Scandia Gold for every lucky winner.
